The LDC offers an exciting opportunity for development and the chance to undertake work that is varied, challenging and engaging. Predominantly dedicated to supporting the Derivatives Team within the firm's Banking group, this role offers excellent, high-quality paralegal experience together with exposure across the firm and to some of the firm's major clients.Whilst this is a virtual role with no expectation or requirement that you attend any of our office locations (save for business-critical needs), for those proximate to one of our locations and wanting to experience the office environment and meet our hybrid teams, there is also the opportunity to attend our UK offices – London, Milton Keynes, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Subject to location, there is therefore the opportunity to join the Derivatives Team in our London office from time to time.ResponsibilitiesYou will work as part of a team to deliver paralegal support to our Derivatives Team. This will include:<ul><li>Negotiating and drafting master agreements and ancillary documents for securities.</li><li>lending, repo and derivatives (GMRA, GMSLA and ISDA).</li><li>Conducting legal due diligence.</li><li>Liaising with clients and counterparties in a timely, courteous and professional manner.</li><li>Managing client tracking tables using Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>Drafting emails and correspondence on behalf of fee earners.</li><li>Undertaking legal research.</li><li>Providing administrative support to fee earners.</li><li>Filing and maintaining correspondence and documentation.</li></ul>Through newly established ways of working, including an increased emphasis on technological solutions, you will be supported in taking full ownership of key tasks, giving you direct responsibility. You will work closely with other members of this dedicated team as well as with the Derivatives Team and our clients.
