Paralegal – Crime Team – Leeds

We are seeking a permanent, full-time Criminal Law Paralegal for our busy Leeds office to join our expanding team.

You will preferably:

  • Be currently undertaking, or have completed, legal studies — for example through the LPC/BPC (or equivalent), SQE preparation, or relevant academic modules/experience.
  • Be able aim to demonstrate an interest in Criminal law;
  • Have Police Station Accreditation
  • Have strong organisational skills; and
  • Have the ability to work under pressure

We would like the ideal candidate to:

  • Provide the highest level of client care in the management of client matters;
  • Provide support to Fee Earners;
  • Build relationships with internal and external parties;
  • Ensure that files are managed effectively, creating letters or documents on the case management system;
  • Completing public funding applications;
  • Collating and redacting large documents for Court bundles where necessary; and
  • Liaising with the local authorities, Police and medical professionals to request/receive documents. Liaising with Courts and experts

Our offices are friendly, working entirely paperless with recent significant investment in modern IT to enable you to work proficiently. Our junior members are office-based in order to take advantage of the onsite training provided by an established criminal team.
