This doesn’t need to be in law, we consider equivalent undergraduate degrees.If you have completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and have an undergraduate degree at a minimum of a 2:2 in a subject other than law, you must have completed one of the following conversion courses: • Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) • Common Professional Examination (CPE)If you have opted for the Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE) route, a conversion course isn’t required. We accept non-law degrees along with successful SQE 1 and 2 results, without the GDL or CPE. Postgraduate qualifications You must have successfully completed, or be due to complete, the Legal Practice Course or Solicitor Qualifying Exams 1 and 2 to be able to start the legal trainee scheme in October 2026. You must provide your qualifications to our recruitment team by 1 September 2026. If you’re unable to provide confirmation of passing your LPC or SQE by this time, you’re removed from the process. Offered in conjunction with a leading legal provider, they will provide the chance to qualify as a solicitor following a six-year programme of work-based learning and part-time study. Qualification is based on assessment from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and will result in the award of an LLB.This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to qualify as a solicitor whilst earning a salary rather than paying the tuition fees required for full-time study. It also represents a chance to forge a long-term career at one of the world’s largest law firms whilst receiving an outstanding range of benefits including a competitive starting salary of £24,000 in London and £21,900 outside London.The apprenticeship training will be delivered by a leading legal provider.Eversheds Sutherland will support you with paid time off to attend classes together with study leave for assessments.
