No fewer than 28 of our current team of lawyers began life at Gosschalks as a trainee, 16 of whom are now partners. Our next vacancy for a training contract is September 2026.&nbsp;The deadline for applications is 31st July 2025.&nbsp;We are a niche family law firm and we do not recommend you apply unless you wish to have a career in family law.We offer a two year training contract at Dawson Cornwell which will comprise a seat in matrimonial law and a seat in international children law.A large number of our trainee solicitors are taken on as assistants in the firm after qualification. It’s also an opportunity to show us your potential as a future trainee—many of our current and past trainees started by doing a holiday placement with us before joining the firm.Successful applicants will spend one week at a chosen office discovering each of its different disciplines, including corporate commercial, employment, litigation and commercial&nbsp;property. &nbsp;You will work with current trainees and qualified solicitors and learn what training might entail.
