Job Title: Private Client ParalegalSalary: £27,000 to £29,000 depending on experienceDuration: Temporary - ongoingHours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 5:30pm (37.5 hrs pw), can be flexible.Location: BirminghamRole Purpose:Our client, a busy and well-established Solicitors practice in Birmingham, are looking for an experienced Private Client Paralegal to assist Solicitors and Fee Earners with casework, whilst liaising with clients and third parties. Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months experience within client probate and estate administration. Key Duties:Provide administrative and legal support for private client matters, including probate and estate planningPreparation of all relevant IHT returnsMaintenance and preparation of estate accountsInteract with external advisers e.g. accountants and tax advisers and provide relevant information required, case by caseResponsible for the completion of estate administrationLiaise and build relationships with more senior fee earners within the teamUpdate Probate Registry systems as and when requiredKeep updated with Inland Revenue processes and proceduresManage client files and ensure compliance within legal regulations<ul><li>Handle high in value estates that include trust structures e.g. discretionary wills, nil rate band wills and life interest trust wills</li></ul>Key Skills/Experience Required:Minimum 12-month experience within a similar role working in client probate and estate administrationWorking understanding of will validity and interpretationGood working understanding of relevant inheritance tax allowancesAble to multitask, meet deadlines, and take ownership of responsibilitiesStrong drafting, research, and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clientsComfortable using Microsoft Office and competent in using a case management system, preferably LEAP or similarAbility to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlinesAbility to quickly build confidence, respect and trust with othersProfessionalism when dealing with clients and sensitive matters with a commitment to confidentiality and discretionFor more information or to apply please send your CV or contact Morgan Parkes Recruitment.Morgan Parkes Recruitment Ltd operate in the UK and can only process applications from candidates who are currently eligible to live and work in the UK.
