Training Contract / Graduate paralegal (solicitor apprenticeship) 2024
Closing date 1 March 2024
If you are looking to kick start your legal career our application window is now open until 01 March 2024 for the following training opportunities:
- Training contracts to commence October 2024
- Graduate paralegal to commence September 2024 (with the potential to progress onto our graduate solicitor apprenticeship programme in 2025)
Training with us is exciting, interesting, challenging and full of opportunity.
Our teams have a wealth of knowledge and experience and love nothing more than guiding and supporting trainees to develop the critical skills they need to become a qualified solicitor.
Training contracts are applicable to those who are looking to qualify following completion of the LPC and have achieved a minimum 2:2 law degree.
You will gain experience in various different areas of law working alongside a director or senior solicitor. You will undertake a variety of good quality work to help you develop the knowledge and skills you need. During each seat you will attend regular reviews to help you to focus on your continued professional development.
Subject to business requirements and seat availability, we may offer you the opportunity to join ahead of your training contract as a paralegal to gain further experience.
(with potential progression to graduate solicitor apprenticeship)
The graduate paralegal with potential progression to our graduate solicitor apprenticeship programme is applicable to those who are looking to qualify through the SQE route and have achieved either a 2:2 law degree (minimum) or a 2:2 degree in a non-law subject with a minimum pass in GDL.
During your period of paralegal work (approx. 9-12 months), you will be given the opportunity to apply for a position on our apprenticeship programme.
As a paralegal you will remain in one department for the duration of your contract. If you are successful progressing onto the apprenticeship programme you will gain experience in several different areas of law.
During the apprenticeship you will be provided with time off for your studies where you will work towards completing the SQE 1 and 2 assessments alongside gaining practical 'hands-on' qualifying work experience. The apprenticeship programme spans a period of 30-months.
This is an alternative route to qualification.
To thrive with us, you need to be passionate and driven, an analytical thinker with great attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to communicate concisely (written and verbally).
You'll relish being part of a team, not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and help-out when its required. You'll be calm under pressure, flexible to meet deadlines, commercially aware with a sense of humour.
