Training Contract - 2025 - Warners Solicitors
Deadline for applications for 2025 is 11th November 2024.
Why Choose Warners?
Warners is a top-tier regional law firm, recognised in Chambers, Legal 500, and other prestigious legal directories. We embrace modernity and innovation while honouring our rich heritage.
Early Career Opportunities
Today’s trainee solicitors are tomorrow’s partners. We are dedicated to nurturing talent, and our training programme reflects this commitment. We onboard two trainees each September, many of whom remain with the firm post-qualification, advancing to senior roles. Several of our current partners, including Mark Davis, Matthew Aves, Kevin Sullivan, and Fiona Taylor, began their careers as trainees here.
Comprehensive Training and Development
As a trainee, you will rotate through four different departments, spending six months in each. You will collaborate closely with your supervisor and gain hands-on experience with a variety of legal issues. Our structured training includes:
- Induction: Your training begins with a structured induction programme ensuring you are welcomed to the firm as quickly and smoothly as possible. This includes receiving our Welcome Pack which sets out all you need to know about being a Trainee at Warners.
- Buddy: Warners has a very effective Buddy system. You will be allocated your very own Buddy who will be on hand to offer any advice and answer any questions you may have on a day-day basis.
- Appraisals and feedback meetings: These take place regularly with your Team Leader/Supervisor. These are an important part of your training and ensure you are constantly progressing and developing during your trainee programme.
- Training Partner: Our dedicated Training Partner will also play a key role in supporting you through your training contract.
- Our trainees participate in the Professional Skills Course (where relevant) as well as a range of in-house training sessions. We believe in continuous development.
Engaging Work Environment
We value a balanced work-life dynamic and encourage our trainees to participate in various firm activities such as:
- Social Events: Including a summer party and Christmas lunch.
- Inter-Firm Sports Matches: Such as rounders and quiz nights.
- Junior Lawyer Events: Networking and development opportunities.
- Pro Bono Law Clinics: Giving back to the community.
