We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Clinical Negligence team at Enable Law. Enable Law is part of the Foot Anstey group and is one of the UK’s leading specialist medical negligence, personal injury, and mental capacity law firms. Working both remotely and within our friendly Exeter office, you will be joining a team who really make a difference in their clients' quality of life.

What you'll do

  • The role will support lawyers across the firm in the initial stages of a claim to include setting up of the file, obtaining and reviewing medical records.
  • Completing tasks that arise in relation to the clinical negligence pre-action protocol stage.
  • Drafting relevant documentation and providing legal and administrative support to senior lawyers
  • Carrying out research into quantum, medicine, legislation, and case law
  • Supporting the team with file management

What we're looking for

  • Highly organised individual who is able to manage deadlines.
  • Experience of dealing with client information with tact and sensitivity, and able to discuss matters with clients in an empathetic manner.
  • Highly flexible approach and the ability to work well and flourish in a team environment.
  • Excellent all round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent IT skills with an in-depth knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Great time management and organisational ability
